It is essential to have a car if you are going to be staying in Tuscany:

Casa Quintino is 4 hours from Rome. 1 hour from Pisa or Florence airport.

Cars can be easily rented from any of the airports.

Road Directions:

From Castel Fiorentino:

Head for Gambassi Terme,
Head for Volterra on the Via Volterrana,
Past Castagno take the right hand fork to Volterra.
Turn left after the 53rd kilometre peg,
Signpost to Casa Quinto, and Viaianino
Continue for one km past Casa Quinto to the end of the road
Casa Quintino is at end of the cypress avenue.

Fom Pisa Airport via Molina D'era

Head out onto the autostrada following the directions for Florence.

You should be on the Fi-Pi-Li (Florence – Pisa – Livorno Motorway)

Go through the first tunnel (Tunnel ROMITO )

Take the next off road right to Pontadera.

At the roundabout, take the last exit towards Voltera.

Continue to follow the signs to Voltera until road flattens out along a valley.

Watch for Agip garage and very large pink/yellow Hotel / Bar called Molina D'era.

If you get lost enquire at this bar for directions or phone the manager.

If you want to continue straight on to Casa Quintino,

Take the next left turning, over the river, through an arched bridge.
At the next junction stay straight on on this road do not veer right.

You will notice you have passed into the Gambassi Terme district.
